- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 0.5 Large White Onion (chopped)
- 1 15-oz can Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 small handful Fresh Basil (minced)
- 2 Bay Leaves (whole)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
Photographic Methods
Dice the onion.
Saute the onion in the olive oil over medium heat until soft.
Mince the garlic and saute it with the onion for 1-2 minutes.
Add the tomato sauce and paste, stir and heat over medium-low heat for several minutes.
Mince the fresh basil.
Add the basil, bay leaf, pepper and salt to the pan.
Thoroughly mix the ingredients and simmer over low heat.
Continue to simmer the sauce, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes.
Remove the bay leaves.
Remove the sauce from the heat and store in a bowl until the pasta is ready.
